Achievements

CabinetOS earns RetroAchievements in the built-in emulators: every system from the Atari 2600 to the Dreamcast, PS1, PSP, DS, GameCube, Wii and PS2. Not in MAME 2003-Plus arcade games or the separate emulators (Switch, PS3, Xbox, Xbox 360, Wii U).

Sign in

Settings, Accounts, RetroAchievements. Type your RetroAchievements user name, then your password. Signed in as … means done. The console keeps a sign-in token, not your password. Each person on the console signs in as themselves.

Press the row again to sign out.

While you play

• A small card in the top corner says Achievement unlocked, with its badge and name. It never pauses the game.
• Settings, Display and Sound, Achievement sound sets how loud it is (it appears once you are signed in).

On a game’s page

A trophy beside the heart, for games that have achievements. It is gold once you have them all. Press Up then Right to reach it and A to see the list: how many you have, and the points for each.

Achievements are earned in softcore mode: save states, rewind and the rest stay available.
